The longer one is too long for that application. But just know, you'll have to replace a bit more often with this shorter version.This is an exact replacement cartridge for our drinking water / ice maker. They seem to be well made and seem to last longer than some of the other filters. Then I installed it at home, and the taste was terrible. Realized that the restaurant water with ice in it 'froze' my taste buds and thus I could not taste. Would not recommend it. For the same money purchased a Waterdrop RO system and finally have water at home that tastes like Evian.The filter leaks. I've tried changing the O rings and it didn't help. I'm not sure if it is this brand, but I haven't had any problems with this same type of filter when I've ordered from other stores on Amazon. I was out of town for a long time and now I can't return it since so much time has passed. I won't order this brand (Pentair) again.We were expecting to receive 2 filters - the title is confusing - "BH 2 FILTER" . Note that the price is for one replacement filter.
